The rescue team of Central Scotland Fire & Rescue Service, users of RESQTEC tools, have won the World Extrication Challenge in South Africa. Teams from all over the world compete in this annual competition. To win, the teams have to be able to perform an extrication quickly, using the latest techniques and ensuring the safety and medical care of the victim. Central Scotland was rewarded the most points by the jury, making them the world champions for 2006.
